Dead Man’s Effects

Guy, a young American, and Simon, a Brit of about the same age, are thrown together against their wishes and inextricably bound when they witness a sudden accidental death; but was it really accidental? (The death and their being thrown together, that is). The book is set mainly in London’s Docklands in the 1990s, when greed and financial speculation made strange bedfellows of more than just these two. Here are six chapters, which will take you up to the harrowing death scene, and of course leave you gasping for more.
Do you just want to buy the film rights? Well that’s OK too. I think the dream casting is probably Tobey McGuire for the American; for the Brit, I’m not that up-to-date on who the choices might be, but he should be a working class lad, or one who can do the accent anyway. Read on!
